The only railway station with visa

There is only one railway station of Indian Railways where you need a visa to go there. Without visa and passport you are not given entry. In such a situation, it is necessary for you to have a Pakistani visa.

This railway station is none other than Attari. This railway station is located in Amritsar district of Punjab and comes under the jurisdiction of Firozpur railway station of Northern Railway.

Why is a visa required?

Attari Railway Station is a part of India, but permission from Pakistan is also required to visit here. However, if you are found roaming at this railway station, you may also be sent to jail. You may also have to pay a fine. If found without visa and passport, a case can also be registered under Foreign Act 14.

Which trains run from here?

If you want to travel by this, you have to produce your passport to buy the ticket. Delhi-Attari Express, Amritsar-Attari DEMU, Jabalpur-Attari Special Trains, Samjhauta Express and some passenger trains run here. However, at present both the stations and Samjhauta Express are closed.
