None Of Subrata Roy’s Sons Attended His Last Rites, Here’s Why

A company worth Rs two thousand crores, lakhs of employees, crores of customers, net worth of 10 million dollars, but call it bad luck or compulsion that both his sons could not attend the funeral of Subrata Roy. No one knows whether it was not in their destiny to shoulder their father’s bier or it was not in the destiny of ‘Saharashree’, but the reason why Sushanto and Seemanto Roy could not attend the last rites has come to light. When people asked Subrata Roy’s wife Swapna Roy the reason for their sons not coming, she told that they were abroad and could not travel due to some reasons. Therefore, grandson Himank was called from London, who lit the fire to Subrata Roy.

Let us tell you that Subrata Roy, the founder of Sahara Group, died on the night of 14 November 2023. He was ill for the last several days. His mortal remains were brought to his Sahara town in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, by a chartered plane at around 5 pm on Wednesday evening.

After his last darshan here, his last rites were performed at Baikunth Dham today. He was bid farewell by his grandson Himank Roy, who is the elder son of Subrata’s younger son Seemanto and studies in London. He reached Mumbai on Tuesday. Kokila Ben went to the hospital to see his grandfather. After this he reached Lucknow with his grandmother Swapna Roy and cousin Priyanka Sarkar. Lucknow’s Deputy CM Brajesh Pathak, former CM and Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav specially arrived to pay tribute to Saharashree.

Let us tell you that Subrata Roy was ill for the last several days. He had brain surgery at Kokilaben Hospital. In a statement issued by Sahara India, it was said that Subrata Roy was suffering from diseases like metastatic stroke, high blood pressure and diabetes. After this, his health deteriorated on November 14 due to cardio respiratory arrest. He was admitted to Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital in Mumbai, but his life could not be saved.

Subrata Roy’s family now consists of his wife Swapna Roy, two sons Sushanto Roy and Seemanto Roy, who are also associated with Sahara Group. It is believed that after the death of Saharashree, her two sons will take over the business. However, Subrata Roy Sahara did not declare his successor while he was alive. No statement has been given yet by the Sahara family regarding the successor, but till now it is believed that both their sons will be called their successors.
