Punjab Governor Banwarilal Purohit on Saturday announced his resignation from his post, along with his resignation as the administrator of the Union Territory (UT) of Chandigarh, the joint capital of the neighboring states of Punjab and Haryana.

Punjab Governor Banwari Lal Purohit has resigned. Resignation President has sent resignation to Dropati Murmu in which he has cited personal reasons.
