Questions raised on the AAP government on the implementation of the old pension scheme in the Vidhan Sabha Raja Waring

Amarinder Singh Raja Waring further told the Aam Aadmi Party – “About 5-6 employees in the state of Himachal Pradesh have been given the benefit of the old pension scheme. If required, we can help Aam Aadmi Party and workers can be considered as reference points for implementation of this scheme in Punjab state.”

Chandigarh: Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee President Amarinder Singh Raja Waring today questioned the implementation of the old pension scheme by the Aam Aadmi Party during the assembly session and the false promises made during the 2022 election campaign in Punjab.

The state Congress president said – “It is clear that the notification for the old pension scheme created by the Punjab government was only to gain votes in other states. The old pension scheme has not been implemented by AAP in Punjab, the state they are currently ruling, but they have been promising the scheme during their election campaigns in other states as well. The AAP leadership only wanted to promote that they had implemented the old pension scheme in Punjab but they never really intended to do so.

He further said – “The Punjab government claims that it is not possible to implement the old pension scheme because the government has not received sufficient funds from the central government. If so, how come the Congress governments of Himachal Pradesh and Rajasthan have implemented this scheme without any issues? If NPS is not being implemented in Punjab now, why is 4500 crores being given annually to the central pool? If necessary, we will give OPS to Aam Aadmi Party. can teach them how to apply, if they need to learn about it.
