In view of farmers’ agitation, the UT administration imposed Section 144 for 60 days

Taking precautions, the UT administration has implemented Section 144 regarding the march of farmers’ organizations to Delhi on February 13. After the implementation of Section 144, more than five people will not be able to gather at any place. Currently, Congress and AAP are protesting in Chandigarh regarding the mayoral elections. Following the farmers’ protest and march towards Delhi, the Chandigarh administration has imposed Section 144 in the city. DC Vinay Pratap Singh has imposed this clause for 60 days. In such a situation, now five or more people will not be able to gather at one place.

Along with this, demonstrations and march pasts with tractor trolleys and other vehicles have been banned. Currently, due to the dispute over the mayoral elections, Aam Aadmi Party and Congress are also protesting in the city. In such a situation, due to the implementation of Section 144 by the UT administration, the protests of the opposition parties have also been hampered.

Also, no one will be able to carry sticks and weapons in the city. According to the administration, the residents of the city should follow the issued orders. Along with this, the police have also made preparations at their level.
